Artisanal Wallpapers
Our debut wallpaper collection explores the rhythm that has always been at the heart of Soil to Studio — florals meeting geometry, wandering vines alongside orderly grids, and repetition softened by the unmistakable character of the hand. Four patterns, each with its own personality, brought together by a love of color, pattern and rooms that feel layered over time.
Our wallpapers are printed using the traditional art of surface printing, a technique first developed in 1838 to recreate the character and beauty of hand block printing. Nearly two centuries later, our papers are still printed on the original centuries-old machines, where layers of water-based colors are applied to the paper through engraved relief rollers.
