This stonewashed dhurrie is dyed with Indigo before it is block printed with floral and geometrical prints in a small village outside Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Each of our rug goes through an extensive process of dying fibers, plying, warping, weaving, washing and finishing. It takes sometime couple of months to more than 6 months to make a single rug based on the complexity of the design and size. Woven over the course of this long period, they are made not only sturdy and durable but also lightweight.
By choosing this handmade piece, you help preserve craftsmanship and support rural artisan communities. We truly appreciate your support.
